Step-by-Step Preparation for Brussel Sprouts

  • Cleaning and washing of Brussels Sprouts: Wash and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any damaged leaves and cutting them in half.
  • Make the marinade mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, honey, or maple syrup (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well until the marinade is well combined.
  • Marinate the Brussels Sprouts: Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the Brussels sprouts and toss them to ensure they are evenly coated.
  • Marinating time: Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably longer, to allow the flavors to infuse.
