What is depression?

Feelings down from time to time is a normal part of life but when emotions such as hopelessness and despair and just won’t go away, you may have depression. Depression is a term often used loosely to describe how we feel after a bad week at work and when we are going through a breakup. But the major depressive disorder a type of unhappiness that is much more complicated. Mostly feel sad, lonely, or depressed at times. It’s a normal reaction to the loss of life’s struggles and injured self-esteem. Important weight loss and weight gain, a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month.

  1. Sleep changes:

Either insomnia, especially waking in the early hours of the morning and over sleepless.

  1. Anger or irritability:

Feeling upset, restless, and even violent. Your tolerance level is low, and everything and everyone gets on your nerves.

  1. Loss of energy:

Feeling fatigued, sluggish, and physically drained. Your whole body may feel heavy, and even small tasks are exhausting and take longer to complete.

  1. Self-loathing:

Strong feelings of worthlessness and guilt. You hardly criticized yourself for perceived faults and mistakes.

  1. Careless behavior:

You engage in escapist behavior. Such as substance abuse.

  1. Concentration behavior:

Trouble focusing, making decisions and remembering things.

An increase in physical complaints such as headache, back pain aching muscles, and stomach pain.

Depression is a major factor in suicide. The deep despair and hopelessness that goes along with depression that can make suicide feel like the only way to escape the pain. If you have a loved one with depression take any suicidal talking and behavior seriously. And watch some warning signs,

  • Talking about harming and killing someone.
  • Expressing strong feelings of helplessness and being trapped
  • An unusual preoccupation with death and dying
  • Acting carelessly, if they have a death wish
  • Calling or visiting people to say goodbye
  • Saying everyone would be better than off without me and I want out.
